CFR

This page will help you complete the annual FMS check, which is required to ensure that all our volunteers meet the expected standards. Please see below for advice on what you need to complete.

This year's biggest change is that no places at any event will be offered to anyone who has yet to complete this annual check. It is vital that you complete this as soon as possible.

CLINICAL GRADE
Different ambulance trusts and private providers have different scopes of practice for all the above role, but from an FMS perspective, we will classify you as 'first responder'. Please see the FMS scope of practice for information on this role.

PROOF OF CLINICAL STATUS
We will need evidence of your status which will vary depending on your employer. Acceptable forms of evidence are:

  • Ambulance Trust ID card

  • Private ambulance provider ID card

  • Certification (showing dates) of recognised qualification.

If you no longer work for an ambulance service or private provider, we cannot accept this as your clinical status and will require you to obtain a FREC3 or better to volunteer at events.

MANDATORY TRAINING
This year, we need to ask for evidence of your mandatory training. You can upload a single screenshot, or photo but it must show the course names and expiry dates. Alternatively, you can upload your certificate for each course. If you do have some or all of this mandatory training, do not worry. We will provide you free access to this so you can complete it as required. If any mandatory training expires before an event, you must forward us an updated certificate or your place will be offered to another member.
