Your
wellbeing

Reading Festival can overload your senses, and you may feel you need to chat to someone, which is very much encouraged. In the first instance, reach out to one of the team leaders (the telephone number is on the rota) or contact the on-site wellbeing team, who can provide additional support.
FAQ's
I want to watch a particular band, but I'm on shift. Can you swap me with someone?
Sorry, but we cannot arrange shift swaps for you. However, you can use the WhatsApp group to request one. Once agreed one of you needs to complete the shift swap request. When you add a request on WhatsApp remember to include the day, time and location of your shift along with your grade.

How do I get guest tickets?
You can either purchase them through FMS (very limited availability) when the campsite form is released or buy direct from the Festival (same price). All guests pay a small fee to use the campsite facilities, showers, bar etc which is payable in advance. Please note, guests are your responsibility and must understand that we cover 24 hour shifts so crew need their sleep.

Is there a crew bar we can use, and can our guests use it too?
Yes, there is a brilliant crew bar stage left where you can relax, mingle with the celebs and get away from the crowds. Unfortunately only crew can access this bar, no guests. However, on the campsite we have a great bar which is open to guests and crew.

Can I bring a motorhome, van, caravan, tent etc?
Absolutely. Electric hookups are available and can be booked via the campsite form, for which the link is posted above, as soon as it becomes available.

Are there any briefings before the event?
Yes. We suggest all crew, new or old hands, attend a briefing prior to the event. Dates and links will be added to the key links when available.

Will I get meal vouchers?
Yes, you will get 2 vouchers per shift worked. If you work extra shifts you will get additional meal vouchers. These vouchers can be used at our campsite catering in the main building. Look out for the jerk chicken!

What about uniform?
If you have uniform please wear it, if not please wear ambulance trousers or black cargos with a dark polo (no band t-shirts etc) You will provided a high vis which is mandatory at all times you are on the festival site for safety reasons.
