PHTLS/Mountain Rescue/Fire Service/Other

This page will help you complete the annual FMS check, which is required to ensure that all our volunteers meet the expected standards. Please see below for advice on what you need to complete.

This year's biggest change is that no places at any event will be offered to anyone who has yet to complete this annual check. It is vital that you complete this as soon as possible.

CLINICAL GRADE
From an FMS perspective, we will classify you as 'first responder'. Please see the FMS scope of practice for information on this role. It is your responsibility to ensure you obtain any annual BLS/ILS refreshers or log book updates as required. You may be asked to provide evidence of these to FMS, and failure to provide this evidence will mean any places you have been offered at events being withdrawn. Your certification must meet FREC3 criteria in BLS and level 3 in prehospital care.

PROOF OF CLINICAL STATUS
We will need evidence of your status which in this case must be:

  • Certification (showing dates) of recognised qualification.

MANDATORY TRAINING
This year, we need to ask for evidence of your mandatory training. You can upload a single screenshot, or photo but it must show the course names and expiry dates. Alternatively, you can upload your certificate for each course. If you do have some or all of this mandatory training, do not worry. We will provide you free access to this so you can complete it as required. If any mandatory training expires before an event, you must forward us an updated certificate or your place will be offered to another member.
